THINGS YOU SHOULD DO THAT YOU MAY HAVE FORGOTTEN . . .
Here are some helpful suggestions to look after before leaving home.

1) Tell your neighbors you will be away and for how long. It is advisable to leave a key with a request for an occasional house check. You can return the favor when they go away.
2) Ask your neighbors not to pass along the word of your absence. In answer to a request as to your whereabouts, the neighbor can reply, "They will be back shortly."
3) Have you taken advantage of the neighborhood watch system of having your possessions marked? The notices to be attached to your front and back doors announcing this fact is an effective deterrent to intruders.
4) Make arrangements for any pets you have.
5) Take care of all accounts that should be paid.
6) Discontinue your daily newspaper or make other provisions. They must not pile up on your porch or entry.
7) Arrange to have the lawns cut while you are away.
8) Put hanging baskets and plants in pots in shaded areas to minimize the need of water.
9) A light timer is a good investment at this time. Leave a light to operate several hours each evening. A radio may be regulated in the same way.
10) Do not pull all of your curtains. This is obvious evidence of an unoccupied residence.
11) Be sure that your mail is out of sight. Make provisions for this if none exists.
12) Arrange with a neighbor to pick up any flyers, advertisements etc. delivered to your door. You can do the same when they are away.
13) Cancel all deliveries during the time of absence.
14) Put valuable jewelry into your safety deposit box.
15) Fasten all windows. where necessary add screws to add strength to fasteners.
16) Clean out the refrigerator as much as possible.
17) Empty the bread box.
18) If the weather is co-operating, it would be wise to turn off the furnace and the water heater.
19) See that all burners on the kitchen range are off.
20) Disconnect the TV''s.
21) If you are leaving a car in the garage, lock it.
22) Have you made note of the serial & model numbers of all your valuables? i.e.: TV, stereo, camera, etc.

Welcome to the World of Motorcoach Travel.
Please note the following tips for you and your fellow traveler's comfort and safety

WHAT TO WEAR: Wear casual clothes. Take a light coat & sweater or wind breaker for cool evenings. Also make sure you take light walking shoes (1 pair) with you. Please do not overpack.
INSURANCE: Travel insurance is highly recommended and available. Please ask one of our knowledgeable Travel Consultants for more information.
SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted in the coach. The coach will stop for coffee and lunch breaks throughout the tour, and also for picture taking. Please take advantage of these times if you are a smoker.
LUGGAGE: One piece of baggage per passenger throughout the tour will be handled. Hand baggage must be carried by passengers in and out of the hotel.
CURRENCY: We suggest that you carry currency in small denominations, for tipping and souvenirs. A credit card is also handy in case of an emergency.
COMPANIONS: We, at Southwest Tour & Travel, do our best to find a travelling companion for those requesting the same. However, we assume no responsibility in case of added cost due to disagreements.
GRATUITIES: Tipping has become an accepted custom wherever one travels. If you do care to tip to restaurant and hotel personnel, as a token of appreciation for good service, it would be greatly appreciated. There is no need to tip the luggage bellmen, and/or waitresses at group meals arranged and paid for by Southwest Tour & Travel. Gratuities for tour directors and driver are not included in your tour cost.
TELEPHONE & PAY TV CHARGES: There is a charge for every phone call you make, outside your hotel. There is also a charge for pay TV usage. Please make sure by reading instructions or inquiring at the front desk of our hotel, before setting the TV channel on. Do not activate the pay TV channel if you do not want to pay. Please clear any of your personal charges with the front desk, before checking out of the hotel room.
HANDICAPPED: Handicapped persons are welcome at Southwest Tour & Travel, but must be accompanied by a companion who can assist them when necessary. The Southwest Tour & Travel office must be notified of any disabiltiy at the time of booking.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Please help us to reach our goal of "Service Excellence." We would urge our valued customers to make any special request to us at time of booking. Please advise us of any special events occurring during the tour, such as an engagement, anniversary or birthday. We would like to make a special event a long-lasting memory for you. Any other special request regarding meals, smoking or non-smoking rooms, adjoining, and/or lower floor rooms etc. should also be made at time of booking to help us serve you better. We want only the best for our customers and want to make the tour memorable for you.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Please wear your name badge during the tour & sightseeing time so that the tour director can easily recognize you by name. We strongly advise you to follow the time schedule for coffee and lunch stops very closely to help us to reach the final destination in time. The tour director will announce the length of each stop every time. Any person traveling single should expect to share the second seat on the coach with other passengers. Seat rotation generally will take place in the morning and after the lunch break. Please refrain from standing when the motor coach is in motion, especially in slow traffic, such as towns and construction zones. We would greatly appreciate our kind co-operation in these matters.

If there is something major wrong with your hotel room, please contact your tour director immediately. If you are missing soap, towels etc., call the hotel front desk. If there are still problems, contact your tour director. If you wait until the next morning to mention a problem, it's too late to correct it!

Please be advised that if you want to spend your time at any place, while on the tour, with your friends and/or relatives, it will be your own responsibility to be at the departure point of the tour in time to ensure the proper service. Please notify your tour director in advance of any changes you may want to make in your itinerary.

You might wish to take along some jokes, verses, musical instruments, an alarm clock, camera, extra film, binocular, swim suit, etc. on the tour. Your active participation in all activities will make the tour more enjoyable for everyone. If there is anything we can do to comfort you more, please do not hesitate to contact our office or tour director during the tour.

YOU MUST CARRY PROOF OF U.S. CITIZENSHIP WITH PHOTO IDENTIFICATION

Reminder: Passport requirements have changed
Government legislation now requires all people traveling via air to and from the United States or Canada to have a passport. The name on the passport must match the name on the reservation. For complete details, visit the travel section of the U.S. Department of State's web site. For more information please visit: www.travel.state.gov.
